Lanthanum chloride solutions are used in various water treatment applications for industrial, municipal and aquatic waters for the control of algae growth.

Test existing water for Phosphate using a phosphate test kit. One (1) quart of the LaCl3 solution will remove 1500 ppb (parts per billion) of phosphate per 20,000 gallons of water. Add the solution by pouring into the skimmer or into the system prior to filtration.  There will be a short duration of haziness immediately after addition.  Continue filtration until water is clear.

Keep container tightly closed.  Store in a cool, dry and well ventilated environment.  This solution is suitable for storage in any general chemical environment.

As with all chemicals, avoid eye and skin exposure.  If contact occurs, rinse eye with copious amounts of water; wash affected skin thoroughly with soap and water for at least 5 minutes.  Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
